A Fresh Start

Your Great Harvest in Burlington is the realization of our dream.  Years ago we decided that we wanted to run our own business.  Building off of Ethan's years of baking experience at a Great Harvest in Missoula, Montana, we decided to open our own store.  After many roadtrips from the West to the East, we chose Burlington over many other cities.  We moved here in 2002 and opened our doors in July of 2003. 

The Burlington Great Harvest looks like no other Great Harvest out there. We operate under a “Freedom Franchise.” The “Freedom” part means that we get to run our business in a way that authentically reflects our community as well as us the owners. The “Franchise” part gives us access to the recipes and processes that GH has continuously improved for over two decades. The result is breads and sweets that will knock your socks off!
   

Burlington has become our home. This bakery is truly family owned, you will see our two boys running around, 'helping' at the kneading table, and napping in the office. We love being part of the ancient tradition of baking, and being able to offer the opportunity to buy bread from the place it is made.  We’re excited to bring this tradition to you, our neighbors and friends.
